Launch of the schooner ‘IDEAL’
On 31 May 2016, the heavy lift department at Ulstein Verft launched the 120-foot schooner, ‘IDEAL’, in Kristiansund, Norway. The schooner is a newbuild replica of a 1910 version, and will be used for educational purposes and maritime recruitment.

In June 2016, Ulstein Verft will be delivering the first of two offshore wind service vessels for Bernhard Schulte Offshore/Windea Offshore. The vessels are contracted to work for Siemens. The two vessels represent a new era for both parties.
Naming of first ocean-going tug for ALP
ALP Striker was named on 13 May 2016. She is the first of four ultra-long distance towing and anchor handling vessels for ALP Maritime Services, each with a bollard pull of approx. 300 tonnes.
