Striking bollard pull results for the ALP Striker
ALP Striker achieved an impressive bollard pull result of 309.6t at her sea trials. The DPII Anchor Handling Salvage Tug was delivered on 12 September to ALP Maritime Services. The vessel is designed for towing very large floating objects while also offering services such as anchor handling, positioning and mooring.
Completes inter array grid cable installation works of the Nordsee One Offshore Wind Farm
The ISV/SOV vessel 'Siem Moxie' is working as part of a 'Siem Duo' in cable installation works on the Nordsee One Offshore Wind Farm (OWF). Three weeks ahead of schedule, the inter-array cables for the wind farm had been installed, as well as the foundations and the offshore substation for the 54 wind turbines.
Innovative ship from Ulstein Verft starts work in offshore wind service
The X-STERN innovation, introduced at ONS2014, has become reality. The ‘Windea La Cour’ is soon to be taken in use at the Gemini offshore wind farm. At sea trial, the vessel proved a max speed going astern close to the max forward speed (video in text). This increases flexibility when manoeuvring at the wind farm.
