"The vessel was delivered from Ulstein Verft in November and has been working since. She is currently operating off Brest in France, at the Parc-Éolyen-de-Saint-Nazaire, an offshore wind farm with 80 wind turbines," says Olympic’s Chief Technical Officer, Runar Stave.
"For all ten of our vessels currently operating in the offshore wind market, we send out a comprehensive questionnaire to our clients, covering aspects such as facilities (accommodation, comfort), crewing, QHSE, operational characteristics (dynamic positioning), operational and technical follow-up, and more.
"In general, Olympic has a very good standing with clients. In 2024, we received an overall score of 96.4, with 100 being the highest possible.

Designed for low fuel consumption and high comfort
Olympic Notos is a sister vessel to Olympic Boreas, another 2024 delivery from Ulstein Verft. The vessel has been designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS, and is an SX222 design, accommodating 126 people in all daylight cabins. They are the first sailing vessels based on the TWIN X-STERN® with main propellers fore and aft. The ULSTEIN® POWER Variable Speed Generator (VSG) has been designed to optimise power generation by dynamically adjusting its speed to match load requirements.
