At Ulstein Verft, the new year began with launching, lifting operations and docking of two offshore wind newbuilds.

On 5 January 2026, Acta Pegasus was delivered by Tersan Shipyard to Acta Marine. This vessel is the first of four newbuild Walk-to-Work (W2W) Construction Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS for Acta Marine.

The hull for yard number 323 arrived at Ulstein Verft on 6 December 2025. This marks another milestone in the construction of our next-generation offshore wind service vessel, which is the tenth TWIN X-STERN CSOV since 2022. The vessel is based on Ulstein’s proven SX222 design platform.

On 15 November 2025, Yard number 322 was successfully towed and positioned inside the dock hall at Ulstein Verft. The project is progressing according to plan, and key activities are now underway.

5 September 2025 – Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BS Offshore) has taken delivery of its latest state-of-the-art Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV), WINDEA Clausius, yard number 321, from Ulstein Verft.

On Friday 15 August 2025, the hull for a new offshore wind service vessel of the CSOV type arrived at Ulstein Verft. This marks a new step in the process towards the completion of this state-of-the-art vessel, which has been developed to support energy-efficient offshore wind operations with high performance.

26 June 2025 – Bernhard Schulte Offshore (BSO) has taken delivery of the state-of-the-art, commissioning service operation vessel (CSOV) WINDEA Curie, yard number 320 from Ulstein Verft.

On 11 March 2025, the hull of yard number (Yno) 321 for BS Offshore arrived at Ulstein Verft. This marks the beginning of a new phase in the shipbuilding process. The vessel is designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS for ‘walk-to-work’ (W2W) operations, where personnel walks via a motion-compensated gangway from the ship to a wind turbine.

BS Offshore and Ulstein Verft has passed a significant milestone with the launch of the Yno 320, a state-of-the-art Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV).

13 November 2024: Ulstein is proud to announce the successful delivery of the Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) Olympic Notos to Olympic. This state-of-the-art vessel marks a significant milestone in maritime innovation and excellence. “As a result of the findings from her sister ship, Olympic Boreas, the shipping company states that the vessels "operate with close to a 50% reduction in fuel consumption compared to other sailing CSOVs."

9 October 2024: The second Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) for Olympic, Olympic Notos, has successfully completed its sea trial. This marks a significant milestone in the vessel’s journey towards fully operational status, following in the footsteps of her sister vessel, the Olympic Boreas.

On 1 October 2024, the steel cutting ceremony for Ulstein Verft’s yard number 323 was held at the Crist hull yard. The Commissioning Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) is based on the award-winning TWIN X-STERN platform and has been designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS.

On Wednesday, 21 August 2024, one month after the delivery of the Olympic Boreas, Ulstein Verft launched the second Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) for Olympic; the Olympic Notos. Both vessels are built on the innovative TWIN X-STERN solution, a concept described as a '4-wheel-drive' for the seas.

The keel laying ceremony at Crist hull yard 06 August 2024 symbolizes that yard number 322 is one step closer to realization. The CSOV vessel, based on a TWIN X-STERN platform designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions AS, will be capable of performing a vast range of operations, including Operation & Maintenance and construction support.
