Ship history
1963 New 3-cylinder 2T Wichmann diesel engine of 300 HP, 350 rpm.
1966 The boat was wrecked after running aground at Sula lighthouse in Fosna. The entire starboard side was destroyed during its stay on the seabed. The boat was salvaged by Ødegaard Berging in Ålesund after being filled with foam plastic and towed into Skarbøvika with a strong list. The same year, Arnt Leinebø and Ivar Leine bought the boat from Ødegaard, and renamed it "Leinefisk". The price was 48,000 NOK. Smevik Mek. was given the job of repairing and extending the boat to 93.6 feet and converting it for line fishing. A new engine was also installed, a 450 HP Wichmann.
1977 The boat changed its name to "Leinefisk Senior".
1978 Andreas, Paul and Steinar Bendal bought the boat and renamed it "Pastan". They used the boat for longline fishing for a few years, until it grounded on February 5, 1982 and sank at the Herøy terminal in Herøy. As far as we know, it is still there. "Norleif" was 27 years old and ended its days not far from the shipyard where it was built.
