The vessel has been purpose-built to support offshore wind maintenance activities, with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, sustainability, and crew comfort.

Acta Marine was the first shipowner to contract vessels based on the highly optimised hull form ULSTEIN TWIN X-STERN, which offers unmatched workability in the field and adverse weather conditions. 
In 2022, Ulstein was awarded the Best Industrial Design Company of the Year Award for, among other innovations, the TWIN X-STERN.

In August 2026, the vessel had completed its shakedown and mobilisatino period and started a long-term charter supporting RWE’s 1.4GW Sofia offshore wind off east England, according to Acta Marine.. The shipowner further states that the vessel will operate from Grimsby, providing offshore accommodation and Walk-to-Work services for technicians and specialists involved in commissioning and future operations and maintenance activities. Sofia is located on Dogger Bank in the North Sea, approximately 195 kilometres off the UK’s north-east coast. Once fully operational, the project is expected to generate enough renewable electricity to power the equivalent of 1.2 million UK homes.
