SX222 - CSOV vessel for walk-to-work and offshore energy operations
Ulstein is at the forefront of designing Construction Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) and Service Operation Vessels (SOVs) for the offshore energy sector. Our vessels are known for safety, comfort, efficiency, and spacious accommodations. Featuring advanced motion compensation and walk-to-work systems, our designs allow seamless transfers to offshore structures. They also support hybrid battery propulsion and alternative fuels, helping reduce emissions and operating costs.
- Exceptional manoeuvrability:
- The ULSTEIN TWIN X-STERN® design offers exceptional manoeuvrability and stability in challenging sea conditions. With azimuth propellers at both ends, it can operate efficiently in either direction and maintain position effectively. The dual stern and bow layout minimises constant adjustments, enhancing crew comfort and operational efficiency. This design also results in significant fuel savings and quieter operations, benefiting the environment and reducing costs.
- Environmentally conscious operations:
- The SX222 features hybrid battery propulsion and methanol fuel readiness, enabling carbon-neutral operations and reducing emissions. With up to 20MWh battery capacity, the vessel can operate for around 18 hours infield with offshore charging available, enhancing operational efficiency.
- Comfort at sea:
- The design of SX222 accommodates up to 126 people on board, providing comfortable living quarters for extended offshore missions, which enhances technician and crew productivity and well-being.
- Versatile deck space:
- Featuring a 500 sqm deck area, the vessel offers ample space for various equipment and operations, making it highly versatile for offshore wind and energy projects.
