The Norwegian Sea Rescue and Ulstein Group invited the region around Ulsteinvik to celebrate the naming of the new rescue boat. Gunvor Ulstein was Lady sponsor for the vessel, and the upcoming rap star Chris Masters and Ulstein Mannskor entertained the audience. As cakes and coffee were served, the three Rescue boats 'Idar Ulstein', 'Emmy Dyvi' and 'Det Norske Veritas II' were open for visits.

Tore Ulstein and Gunvor Ulstein went on a test trial with the RS 'Idar Ulstein' the day before the naming.

Penta-Ocean Construction, a prominent Japanese general contractor, has commissioned Ulstein Design & Solutions B.V. to design its new heavy lift vessel for offshore wind foundation installation. The customised ULSTEIN HX118 design will feature a 5,000-ton Huisman main crane and the ULSTEIN U-STERN™, which enables the installation of increasingly larger monopile foundations.
