Present at Ulstein Verft at this Sunday launch was the site team from Color Line, all anticipating to see the ship in her right element.

Several hundred yard workers, in multiple disciplines, are now working in a big team together with the Color Line crew to complete the vessel before she is put to service between Sandefjord (Norway) and Strömstad (Sweden).

The RoPax vessel measures 160m in length and 27.1m in the beam. She can carry 2,000 passengers and 500 cars.

The vessel, being a plug-in hybrid, can switch to batteries on parts of her journey. In this mode she has very low noise levels, at a level that can be compared to normal speech, and there are no local harmful emissions. The batteries are recharged via shore connection in Sandefjord, based on green energy.
