Project background
On 18 August, the cable-laying vessel NKT Victoria arrived at Ulstein Verft. The vessel will undergo a maintenance programme that includes 10-year survey, maintenance work and replacement of the ROV solution on board.
The yard stay is scheduled to start quayside, with a planned docking from September. The project involves several disciplines at Ulstein Verft as well as a number of partners and suppliers. The existing ROV equipment will be demobilised before a new ROV solution and the associated infrastructure are mobilised and installed.
The scope includes hull preparation, inspections, class-related activities, technical maintenance and surface treatment. In addition, the project comprises work related to the ROV system and the necessary support systems while the vessel is at the yard, including steel outfitting, electrical work, equipment installation, foundations and integration of new systems.
The yard assignment is planned for completion in October.
