On 19 September 2023, Nexans Marine Operations AS and Ulstein Verft entered into a contract on the construction of a large DP3 cable laying vessel.
Bernhard Schulte Offshore returns to Ulstein Verft for the design and construction of two Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) of the ULSTEIN SX222 design. The contract includes options for four additional vessels.

The steel cutting ceremony of the first of two next-generation Methanol MDO/HVO powered DP2 Construction Service Operating Vessels for Acta Marine was arranged on 18 January 2023 at Tersan. CSOV vessels underway: The steel cutting ceremony of Ulstein Verft’s yard number 318 was carried out today at the hull yard, Crist, on 18 November 2022. The vessel is the first of two offshore wind newbuilds for the Norway-based shipowner Olympic, and both are planned for delivery in 2024.
On 20 October 2022, Ulstein was appointed 'The Industrial Design Company of the Year Award.' The jury stated Ulstein has ‘design as a part of its DNA. The world is facing enormous challenges, and the company is working to solve these challenges by thinking differently, and working across disciplines and industries.'
