Sjøsette skonnerten IDEAL

Den 31. mai 2016 sjøsette avdeling tungløft ved Ulstein Verft den 120-fots skonnerten IDEAL i Kristiansund. Skonnerten er ein nybygd kopi av eit skip bygd i 1910, og skal nyttast i skulesamanhengar og til maritim rekruttering.

Tungløftsavdelinga frå Ulstein Verft er på plass på Nordmøre ein 14 dagars tid i samband med fleire løfteoppdrag. Til desse oppdraga nyttar dei lekteren, multiwheeler og ei beltekran med løftekapasitet 600 tonn. Det var difor naturleg å stille opp for å sjøsetje skonnerten frå Saltkaia i Kristiansund.
 

IDEAL er ein tremastra skonnert som er ein kopi av eit skip bygd i 1910 ved Skaalurens Skibsbyggeri i Rosendal i Hardanger.

IDEAL skal nyttast som eit pedagogisk tilbod for mellom anna å vidareføre og ta vare på lokal maritim kultur. Skipet skal reise på opplevings- og leirskuleturar for storskulen og ungdomsskulen, men skal også mellom anna nyttast i maritim rekruttering.

Ulstein delivers CSOV vessel Olympic Notos to Olympic

13 November 2024: Ulstein is proud to announce the successful delivery of the Construction Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) Olympic Notos to Olympic. This state-of-the-art vessel marks a significant milestone in maritime innovation and excellence. “As a result of the findings from her sister ship, Olympic Boreas, the shipping company states that the vessels "operate with close to a 50% reduction in fuel consumption compared to other sailing CSOVs."
