Ship history

The ECOFIVE concept stands for "ECO-friendly Fishing Vessel", with ambitious goals: 100% catch utilisation, minimised quality losses during handling, and reduced energy consumption. The fishing vessel features numerous innovations that address these goals. These solutions can be implemented individually or combined in future fishing vessels.

The trawler will primarily be used for shrimp and whitefish trawling. Ulstein has developed a battery hybrid propulsion solution that is expected to reduce diesel consumption and emissions substantially. This is solved by improving the efficiency of a wide range of power requirements.
