Ulstein Verft experiences record interest in service work

"All-time high! That is how I would describe Ulstein Verft's aftermarket & service activities this year. The requests for dockings and upgrades are unparalleled," states Martin Sundgot Hansen, sales manager aftermarket at Ulstein Verft.

Ulstein Verft in Norway is a small and compact yard with many facilities. The close cooperation between design, engineering, production, and operation makes the yard an effective supplier of aftermarket services and spare parts retail.

The 225 m long and 36 m wide dock can be divided in two, approx. half of which covered by a dock hall which helps to secure the best possible quality on every process in the outfitting, integration and finishing of newbuilds, ship repairs and conversions.

The yard has two service quays, of which the longest is 240m, and a third quay can also be used for long stays.

All assets are within walking distance from the yard administration offices, and the ship owner's office facilities.

"We are unique by the capacity of our dock and dock hall, and the close-knit experienced team at our yard premises, which includes not only designers, engineers, project team and production personnel, but also that we are positioned in the midst of the strong maritime cluster in Norway with world-known supplier brands clustered around us. Brunvoll, Kongsberg Maritime, ABB, Evotec, Jets – they are all here, and more," says Hansen.

"We have fully booked our capacity so far this year ", states Hansen, "and the remaining part of the year is promising. We are busy, and that's how we like to have it. All in all, 2024 bodes very well for Ulstein Verft's aftermarket services."
