Ship history
In 2022, Olympic ordered two newbuild Construction Support Operation Vessels from Ulstein Verft. The vessels are among the first TWIN X-STERN vessels, operating in the offshore energy market. Ulstein Power & Control’s hybrid power solution incorporates a substantial battery system and diesel generators that operate at variable speeds to ensure optimal fuel utilisation. The power system also includes a shore power connection for battery recharging and emission-free port operations.
The vessels are prepared for methanol fuel, paving the way for low-emission operations. There is also reserved space for extra battery capacity, allowing full-electric operations once the necessary infrastructure becomes available.
The vessels accommodate 126 people in all daylight cabins.
The gangway system enables the efficient transfer of personnel and cargo up to 2 tonnes at variable landing heights; 15-30 m straight and level. This modular system also includes a lift and a tailor-made tower.
The open deck area of 440 sqm and warehouse area of 500 sqm ensure ample capacity.
